About Us
Founded in 2018 with a focus on supporting Indigenous nations in Canada, our early work provided valuable insights into the importance of asserting sovereignty and the limitation of governments to get things done. Through those experiences, we learned that lasting impact requires exceptional people aligned with the right projects in challenging environments.
Today, we have expanded our focus away from purely Indigenous projects. Guided by a nation-centric approach, we now direct our full commitment toward nation-building initiatives, prioritizing the sovereignty, dignity, and prosperity of the communities we serve.
We continue to invest significantly in training and deploying outstanding project leaders—individuals who can quickly grasp bold visions, navigate complexity, and transform ambitious ideas into tangible realities that strengthen the nations we work with.

He successfully managed a major corporate restructuring, which allowed the band to assume ownership and management of a $320 million dollar project. “

We don't get caught up in the political ideologies of climate and prefer to say what we mean. We all want clean air, clean water and healthy soil. These are the tangible outcomes we need for a healthy environment. Access to energy is also critical as our highly centralized energy grids are not always reliable.

We see how great ideas and projects don't get to market simply because of access to capital. We work on reliable projects that deliver a clear outcome. We are especially passionate about rural economic development as these areas have historically not had access to the same opportunities as the big cities.

Sovereignty essentially means that individuals, communities and nations are able to make decisions and experience the results of their hard work without any external interference, theft or coercion. We want to see individuals, communities and nations operate sovereignly as an expression of their full potential.
Our Story
Nation First is founded on the principle that nations carry gifts from our Creator and these shape perspectives intended for the benefit of all nations. Nation First believes that if EVERY NATION prioritized their own interests including peaceful relations with other nations and open trade corridors, the world will be in a better place. We are anti-globalist and anti crony-capitalism as these diminish the strength of individual nations.
Our work in Africa and with indigenous nations in North America has shaped our passion to enable economic upliftment in a way the powers and uplifts local people. From time to time we get involved in promoting good governance to facilitate prosperity. We try to reduce "economic leakage" where high value production goes off-shore, instead of adding value and jobs at the initial nation. We believe "on-shoring" is a critical step in nation building and reducing poverty.

Global monopolies and government funding programs break the natural laws of supply and demand, and make it more difficult to innovate and deploy projects for "Main Street". This "monopoly or crony capitalism"makes it difficult for business cases to stack up and for new solutions to compete against government subsidized industries, like energy.
This challenge requires a different approach to investment that is not purely based on the bottom line. Viable technologies and projects are funded by us if we believe in them, if they have good people leading them and the financial model allows for long term financial sustainability.
